The Hellingly Travelodge was a pleasant surprise! Trudy who greeted us, checked us in and looked after us throughout our stay was very friendly, and it seemed ever-present! Offering us a choice of plates, glasses and cutlery should we wish to bring our own food and drink in, as well as making sure we knew where to go for dinner and checking that things were good with us.No bar or restaurant onsite, but there's a vending machine in reception, and a Greggs, Starbucks and petrol station with a shop just outside. We had a family room, which was a decent size, and the beds were comfortable with good pillows that weren't too soft or too firm. The shower was nice and hot, and the towels a good size and the right side of fluffy!Wifi was an additional cost which we chose not to pay, but you still had the option of 30 minutes free wifi each day, which i did try out and found it to be a good speed.Plenty of parking, and a good location for visiting the countryside or seaside. Can definitely recommend the nearby Kings Head pub for dinner - an excellent family meal was had there, and I personally recommend the steak suet pudding!

Good night. Very relaxing stay. Manager and staff very polite and helpful.

Nice travelodge. Large TV, free parking, Starbucks and Gregg's next door. Back rooms have nice view of the countryside.

Comfortable bed, staff very helpful and I slept well, but had to open the windows at first as the room was hotter than a heatwave in the Sahara - not sure why the heater had to be on full blast. Thankfully the room cooled fairly quickly. Not sure why there's no restaurant here, especially in such a rural location. Would stay here again though - nice and peaceful at night.

Charming helpful staff. Good value. Like most Travelodges the cleaners never vacuum the edges and corners of the carpets which infuriates my wife! But the showers and towels are better than Premier Inn and better value too.
